Your Body Already Knows How to Move.
We Just Remove the Noise.
Gym programming built around sensory regulation — weighted carries, rhythmic rowing, predictable reps — designed so the body finds calm before the mind has to decide anything.

Warm-Spectrum Lighting Protocol
Every Stim space uses 2700K warm LEDs, dimmable zones, and zero fluorescent overhead. We tested 14 bulb types with sensory consultants before opening.
Printed Session Cards — Every Time
You receive a physical card at the door listing every movement, set, rep, and rest interval before the session begins. The structure never changes without 48h notice.
Noise-Mapped Facility Zones
Three zones: silent (< 45dB), low (< 60dB), moderate. Color-coded on entry. Headphone hooks at every station. No dropped plates — rubber bumpers only.
Capped Sessions — 6 Athletes Max
Every session is limited to 6 people. Assigned floor positions marked with your initials. No one moves through your space without a verbal cue first.
Coach Communication Cards
Your preferences are documented before your first session. Coaches use visual cues, verbal-only corrections, and a green/yellow/red check-in system before any physical contact.
Rhythmic Progress Tracking
Same metrics, same format, same coach for 8-week blocks. Your log travels with you. Every session references the last one. Consistency is the whole point.
Built around your nervous system,
not despite it.
Every design decision at Stim exists because of a specific sensory need, not an aesthetic preference.
Weighted Carries & Rhythmic Movement
Farmer carries, sled pushes, rowing — movements with a predictable rhythm that give your proprioceptive system something reliable to hold onto. No surprise burpees.
Same Format, Every Session
Warm-up → Skill block → Primary work → Cool-down. Always in that order. Always the same duration. The structure itself becomes calming once your body learns the shape of it.
Deep Pressure & Proprioceptive Input
Every session is calibrated to provide organizing sensory input — the kind occupational therapists call "heavy work." Your nervous system down-regulates. Not by willpower. By design.
Coach Cards & Preference Profiles
Before your first session, you fill out a 10-minute preference profile. Coaches read it. Your card travels with you. New coach? Same card. Nothing gets lost between sessions.
8-Week Blocks with Visible Progress
You're not just "working out." You're in a structured 8-week block with a clear beginning, middle, and end. Metrics repeat. Progress is visible. Completion is concrete.
OT Referral & Co-Treatment Pathway
We have a formal referral process for occupational therapists. Session notes can be shared with your OT. We speak the same language — sensory diet, arousal regulation, proprioceptive input.
What happens when you walk through the door.
The same structure, every time. Predictability isn't boring here — it's the whole point.
Arrival Buffer
10 minQuiet entry. No immediate coach interaction required. Your assigned floor position is marked. Soft music at 45dB. You decompress at your own pace.
Warm-Up Protocol
12 minSame 6 movements, same order, every session. Joint circles, light carries, breath work. Your body begins to recognize the shape of what's coming.
Skill Block
15 minOne primary movement pattern demonstrated, then practiced. Coach cues are verbal-only unless you've indicated otherwise on your preference card.
Primary Work
20 minWeighted carries, rows, presses — heavy work that gives your proprioceptive system deep input. Rest intervals are printed on your session card. You always know what's next.
Cool-Down
8 minBreathwork and light stretching. Same sequence each session. Lights dim slightly. Music fades. Your nervous system gets a clear signal that the session is ending.
Total session time: 65 minutes. Same every week. You can plan your day around it with confidence. Session cards are emailed 24 hours in advance so you can preview them at home.
From people who stayed.
Not curated highlight reels. Real accounts from autistic adults, parents, and OTs who found something that actually works.
"I've tried four different gyms in the past three years. I always left before the second session. The lighting at Stim alone was enough to make me stay — I didn't realize how much the fluorescents were costing me. Six months in, I haven't missed a block."

Marcus T.
Autistic adult, age 29 — Portland, OR
"My daughter is 16 and has never lasted more than three weeks at any structured physical activity. She's now in her fourth 8-week block at Stim. The session card at the door was a game-changer. She reads it in the car on the way over."
Denise O.
Parent of autistic teenager — Seattle, WA
"As an OT, I've been looking for a movement program I can prescribe with confidence. Stim uses the same framework I use in my sessions — heavy work, proprioceptive input, clear structure. I've referred 11 clients. Every one of them has stayed."

Priya Nambiar, OTR/L
